SINGLE-USE-DIET
WASTELAND exhibition, 2020

Seabirds, among the most visible victims of ocean pollution, often mistake floating debris—such as plastic, fishing nets, and other waste—for food. Ingesting these materials leads to severe injury, malnutrition, and even death, threatening their populations and disrupting entire ecosystems.

I would like to acknowledge the sacred and unceded land on which I am grateful to create and draw inspiration; a place that has been a site of human activity for over 15,000 years. This land is the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik Nation.
