Aerosols—tiny airborne particles from industries, wildfires, and natural sources—travel vast distances before eventually settling into water supplies.

According to the EPA, these particles introduce toxins like mercury and lead into drinking water, disrupt aquatic ecosystems, and contribute to acid rain.

Though invisible, aerosols have a profound impact on climate and water quality. Reducing emissions and adopting sustainable solutions are essential to protecting this vital resource.

I would like to acknowledge the sacred and unceded land on which I am grateful to create and draw inspiration; a place that has been a site of human activity for over 15,000 years. This land is the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik Nation.
