SCREAM
 OFF SHORE  exhibition, 2022

Trees, though silent to human ears, emit chemical signals and vibrations when under attack, communicating distress to nearby trees through underground fungal networks and airborne compounds. As deforestation tears through forests, these signals ripple through the ecosystem like screams, warning others and marking the trauma in the living memory of the forest.

I would like to acknowledge the sacred and unceded land on which I am grateful to create and draw inspiration; a place that has been a site of human activity for over 15,000 years. This land is the traditional territory of the Wolastoqiyik Nation.
